Installed Vinyl Base Engine

The base rate represents a normal fully-installed job at 1.00×. Each difficulty bucket owns its configured share of that base price and scales only that share.

Placement Flat Rate

Each placement adds a flat charge equal to this many square feet of the CURRENT Surface & Conditions rate. This is separate from the Average Placement Size Curve.

Example: 1.0 = one sq ft worth of Conditions per placement. 2.0 = two sq ft worth per placement.

Difficulty Buckets

Weights are relative shares of the full installed price. They are normalized automatically to 100%. Print Only keeps only the Print and Prep shares; hidden install-side shares are removed, not redistributed.

Average Placement Size Curve

The calculator divides total square footage by placement count, then uses these anchor points to set the Placement & Handling multiplier. Points are smoothly interpolated. Outside the anchor range, the nearest endpoint is used.

Volume Discount Curve

Total job square footage sets a final-price multiplier. 1.00 = no discount, 0.95 = 5% off. Points are smoothly interpolated.
